4 out of 5 stars Great film from a great book   September 5, 2010
Snorbins (UK)
This is a great film! Read the book? You wont be disappointed by the adapation. The film is well put together and condenses the book enough without losing clarity.
Now that Hollywood has decided to make its own version with all the overhyped "stars" it would be nice if this film got the glory.
Dont worry about the dubbing if you get lost in the film its not noticed.

4 out of 5 stars Grusome but thrilling   September 5, 2010

Enjoyed this DVD little bit grusome in parts but exciting, and needed to watch to the end. Enjoy the story sometimes got a little lost with the plot. But over all enjoy the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Larsson Adaptation   September 4, 2010
Mollydog
For any Stig Larrson fan this is an excellent and faithful adaption of the first book. It captures the feel of the book. All the charachters are vividly portrayed in the dark Swedish social landscape. Both Lisbeth and Kalle come to life as imagined - excellect performances all round.

4 out of 5 stars Shortcut to Millenium 2   September 3, 2010
Gladys
The DVD version of the first in the millenium series meant that my husband could catch up with me and read The Girl Who Played with Fire!! Having said that, I think it still neded me filling in gaps to help him understand this complicated tale. Violence and sex scenes done well - not TOO graphic but certainly not done through a vaseline smeared lense.
Looking forward to the American remake although I got used to the sub titles very quickly.
